After a slow start, the applications’ count has seen an unexpected acceleration in the very last days, and stopped at 128 applicants, from 35 countries (Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Costarica, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, France, Ghana, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Montenegro, Mozambique, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Spain, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, USA).

The evaluating committee – composed by Fred Balvert (science communicator, Erasmus MC, NL), Eleonora Cossi (INFN press Office), Umberto Dosselli (INFN-LNF, Co-Director of the School)
 and Fabio Turone (Agency Zoe, Science Writers in Italy, Co-Director of the School) – is currently at work, and will inform by April 7th, 2014 the recipients of the  30 full fellowships reserved to applicants from EU countries and of the 5 partial fellowships (covering tuition and accomodation, plus a contribution for travel expenses) assigned to applicants coming from the rest of the world.

We want to thank all the applicants for their interest in the School, and feel encouraged to work even harder to keep up with the expectations.
